Speak’s new function AI Tutor allows you to talk with AI freely anytime, anywhere. When you open the app and go to the AI Tutor, you can see that there are two options: role-playing and free-talking. The difference between these two options is the presence
or absence of a mission. Role-playing has primary and additional missions, and the result of these missions is reflected in the score set after the conversation. In other words, if you continue the conversation with these missions in mind, the conversation becomes more in depth and sometimes becomes a guide to achieving the mission. In free-talking, you can talk about random-assigned topics, and you can directly set the roles and topics for AI and yourself, or you can select topics to discuss with AI at random.

 Both sections have the same overall structure. The user makes a conversation that fits the topic, and when the conversation is over, AI sends feedback regarding the sentences that the user said. The sentences received in this way can be saved separately, and these sentences can be collected to practice speaking.

 Pharos tried the Speak application for ourselves. If you look at this picture, you can see that the AI points out what the user did not say well and leads the conversation. In addition, after the conversation, the user can recognize their own mistakes because AI explains the errors and corrects the sentences.

 What Pharos felt after using the application is that even if the user did not express what they wanted to say in English well, the application accurately points out the sentence they wanted to say and naturally leads the conversation. In addition, it was a great advantage to be able to speak English as if you were talking to a real person regardless of time and space using just your smartphone.
